Poor,
downtrodden and under privileged patients turned away from other hospitals are
welcomed in this hospital. Founded in 1977, this hospital is situated in the
dist centre of Kodagu, a district famous for its valour, and which produced
eminent personalities like Gen Kariappa, Gen Thimmaiah and thousands of coorgies
who have served/ serving armed forces of our great nation.
The
hospital is having all the specialty services and also an artificial limb &
rehabilitation centre. Free eye, dental, urological, gynecological, cancer
detection and diabetes camps are conducted in remote villages of the district
benefitting thousands of labourers working in Coffee estates and remote
villages. It also runs Matruchaya & adoption Centre and Centre for
physically challenged.
