When
basic rights of citizens have been denied continuously from the
country's independence in 1947 and no government, despite scores of
petitions, pleadings and representations made by the impacted people,
corrected this serious violation of the Indian Constitution, it speaks
volumes about the authenticity, universality, nature and rational
character of Indian democracy, said Dr. Jagan Kaul, Chairman of
Diversity-USA while commenting about the state of affairs prevailing in
India’s J&K. We are determined to take up this issue with the
incoming Modi-Swamy Govt. for satisfactory and legal resolution, he
said. ( Diversity-USA is a democratic think tank on minority issues in
the United States which has been fighting against the violation of the
minority rights in J&K's ever since Wahabi Muslims assumed the
control of the state Govt. with the help of the Indian National
Congress.)
It is a shame that the largest democracy in the world
under Islamic influence has been denying the rights of fifteen Lakh
refugees (Indian citizens) formerly residents of Pakistan occupied
Kashmir, living in JammuCity. For the past 67 years neither the J&K
nor the Indian federal government had felt urgency to correct this
horrendous mistake, said Dr. Kaul. Under the dynastic regimes, both in
J&K and India, the illegal and uncalled for emphasis upon the
religious, ethnic and communal components in enforcing the central
principles of the Indian democracy in the state have seriously eroded
the minority rights. This unconstitutional, undemocratic and outright
unethical process had an adverse impact upon the growth and stability of
India's nationhood in this region, said Dr. Kaul. |

| THE COMMUNAL REGIMES ILLEGALLY DENYING RIGHTS OF HINDUS |
| Ironically
this outright communal policy was set in motion against the Hindu
refugees in India’s only Muslim majority state. Such discriminative and
vindictive policies are enforced against the non-Muslim minorities in
all of the 53 Muslim countries. What is thoroughly disgusting and
disappointing is that all of the Indian regimes, one after the other,
during the past 67 years despite claiming to be secular, chose not to
take action against this unbelievable constitutional violation. |

| MODI – TERRIFIES ISLAMISTS AND FUNDAMENTALISTS |
| Now
the emergence of Narendra Modi at the helm presents a huge threat to
the State’s ruling class that has benefited by continuing to govern
under the communal and colonial policies of "divide and rule." Narendra
Modi is committed to rejecting the currency of this policy in his Govt.
as he has done inGujarat – the state he ruled for a decade. He is
committed to building a single unified nation without any rewards or
discrimination on the basis of religious, communal or ethnic
affiliations. He wants to change the content, context and complexion of
India's national politics. Accordingly it is only a matter of months
when these fifteen Lakh refugees will either be recognized as "state
subjects" in J&K or the requirement of "state subject hood" would be
gotten rid off altogether. These refugees are not stateless people
accordingly they can not be treated as people without rights as doing so
would be a serious crime. |

| 15 LAKH HINDUS IN CAMPS FOR 67 YEARS WITHOUT RIGHTS |
Ever
since independence these 15 Lakh refugees have been living in camps in
Jammu. They and their children have been denied the right to education,
jobs and ownership of homes in the state. Although under the
constitution of the state there is a set number of assembly seats
reserved for the people of PoK but none of those seats have been given
to these fifteen Lakh people although they are from the Pak occupied
territories. The spirit of Kashmiriyat which promises equal rights for
all Kashmiris has been turned upside down in this case as well. Even the
Human Rights organizations have shown no concern whatsoever about the
refugees and therefore, have not taken any measures towards the
restoration of their rights.
This total indifference persists
because both Kashmir and India are ruled by anti-Hindu governments and
these refugees are mostly non-Muslims and Hindus. If only these refugees
were Sunnis their needs would have been fulfilled on day one. Although
for settling down in Kashmir one has to be a "state subject" but this
qualifying requirement was not applied for Muslims by a sympathetic
regime. Consequently we find Muslim settlers in Kashmir from Tibet,
Chechnya, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Burma, Thailand and India
and in one form or the other both J&K and Indian governments
extended an extra long helping hand in settling them down properly and
they enjoy all of the citizenship rights. Abdullah regimes have been the
driving force for bringing about this Islamization. But no such luck if
the seeker were Hindus or non-Muslims. And that is the picture of
Hindustan under the congress raj. We are going to make sure that the
incoming Modi-Swamy Govt. rejects this discriminatory policy and admits
these refugees as full-fledged citizens of India as well as of J&K
State thereby restoring all their rights. We are going to ask the new
Govt. to adequately compensate them for the hardships, loss and
suffering endured by them during the past 67 years, said Dr. Kaul. In
this regard a seven member delegation of these refugees has recently met
with Narendra Modi and apprised him about the worst possible
conditions, hardships and difficulties suffered by them during the past
sixty-seven years. |

Again
a serious gang rape during dacoity took place in the village of
Jhupkhali under Sandeshkhali Police Station in the Basirhat Sub Division
in border dist. of North 24 Parganas.
In this Basirhat Sub
Division police is in total nexus with criminals and smugglers. The
arrest and subsequent release of smuggler Abdul Barik Biswas is a
shameful example of this nexus.
In this latest gang rape case,
Sadhana Pradhan (name changed), age below 15 years, has been gang raped
by at least 6 persons in front of her parents on 28 April night. The
victim girl identified at least one rapist. According to her statement,
and due to extreme outrage of local Hindus, police arrested that Osman
Mollah, s/o, Mochiyer Rahman Mollah of the same Jhupkhali village.
Police is reluctant to arrest other culprits. Allegedly political
influence on police is protecting the culprits.
The victim girl is now in govt. hospital under treatment in serious condition.
The culprits also looted Rupees 20,000 and gold ornaments of 4 bhoris from the house.

Hindus are at Mercy of Muslim Goons

Minority Watch received information from reliable sources that some
Muslim fundamentalists attacked 35 houses and one Temple belonging to
Hindus on 27th April,2014 at about 2.30 p.m. at Bag Sitarampur within Homa police station-Comilla.
As
per report published in the national daily " Ittefaq" dated 28th
April,2014 it has been revealed that a rumor brought before the public
that Hazarat Mohammad (SM) was criticized by a group of students. On
this basis the local Muslims started to agitate and started to break the
houses and temple of the religious minority, as a result the local
Hindus of Bag Sitarampur fled away.

Superintendent of Police, Comilla over his cell number -01713373678 who
informed BDMW that 17 persons have been arrested in this connection and
necessary steps are being taken to start case against those
perpetrators.
Bangladesh minority Watch is very much concerned
about this incident of religiously motivated attacks on minorities at
Comilla and demand exemplary punishment of those responsible for the
occurrence.
BDMW is investigating the matter locally..

We
all had very big dream and hope about future of Bangladesh during its
creation, millions had died and nearly half a million women were raped
& humiliated by the barbarian Pakistan Army and their accomplishes
RAJAKERS. During its creation political leadership carefully
transplanted secularism in against JINNAH’S monolithic ISLAMIC state
concept to get INDIA & SOVIET support. Our leaders never believed in
secularism other than ISLAM and never made any principal changes in the
state policy. Enemy property Act of Pakistan renamed as vested property
Act and is still enforced in Bangladesh. Monolithic ISLAMIC state
concept remained vibrant with creation of ISLAMIC FOUNDATION and joining
OIC to pump in state fund for religion ISLAM like PAKISTAN. The
inevitable outcome is the rise of radical ISLAM in every spare of life.
The same so called secular political party who led the war of
liberation, to-day makes concession deal with radical HEFAJATE ISLAM for
political power. It’s the irony of faith of BENGALI speaking people
that, they haven’t yet become capable of ruling themselves. It’s now
time for all to realize the danger of radical lawlessness forces
existence in the society, which may one day endanger our sovereignty
like AFGHANISTAN. If this condition continues for long period of time
Bangladesh may become threat for others states in the region.
Although
the trail of war criminals has began in Bangladesh in a very slow space
for political reasons. Government wants to capitalize this issue by
prolonging much as possible to remain in power. Some people in the
government think, if the war criminal issue is dissolved quickly then
other embarrassing issue will come forward. I think apprehension of the
government is correct, the reasons for such doubt is SALUDDIN QADIR
CHOWDHURY’S trail, which has completed nearly six months, yet the
verdict has not been given, more so one of his close friend is in the
cabinet now. All effort to bring back Bangladesh into the spirit of
Liberation War by JAHANARA IMAM & SECTORS COMMANDERS FORUM has
failed due lack of political commitment; as it appears to-day that may
not be possible at all without a mass uprising and foreign support.
During cold war SOVIET UNION and USA used their military muscle against
their allies to keep loyal government in power. Present crisis in UKRINE
is due to the tug of war between two super power RUSSIA & USA, both
wants there loyal government at KIEV.
INDIA- SOVIET mission in
1971 was for a very short period of time, which created opportunity for
politicians to make a “U” turn form the secularism. In last 5000 years
of human civilization no political doctrine was more powerful then
religious dogma. Religious dogma denies science and logic for its
survival against all modernization concepts & philosophy, Bangladesh
is no different from others. Our politicians are also exploiting
religion in their meanest interest for power; ordinary people have no
knowledge about its long term consequences. In long term INDIA will also
pay cost for their policy mistakes in Bangladesh? If INDIA and RUSSIA
kept a small military deployment in Dhaka after independence, August
massacre and Jail killing could have been avoided?
The peace
agreement signed between Bangladesh government and PAHARI ADIBASHI
people of CHITTAGONG HILL TRACK (SHANTI BAHINI) under mediation of INDIA
a decade before was recognized by UNO& world community as model for
others to follow. As usual like secularism Bangladesh government shows
no interest in implementation, may be they have decided to give up this
treaty. Land reforms, relocating settlers and handing over power to the
local government has not been addressed. If this present situation
continues very soon indigenous people will be strangle to death like
HINDUS of the plain or will migrate to INDIA to make HILL TRACKS a
ROHINGA ISLAMIC REPUBLIC state, which is believed to be the master plan
of OIC. Some belief DHAKA visit of BHUTTO and ARAFAT was part of a deal
that ensured BANGLADESH full membership of OIC to receive PETRO DOLLAR
aid/ grant in against BANGLADEH will gave up its secular commitment.
During
Liberation war Bangladesh was divided into 11 Sectors and about 40
sub-sectors for effectively encountering PAKISTANI Army. PAKISTAN Army
was well armed and well equipped then MUKTI BAHINI gorillas, yet
BANGLADESH ARMY didn’t lose a sector commander or equivalent officer in
the entire war. Unfortunately we lost two veteran sector commanders
GENERAL ZIA BIR UTTAM and GENERAL MANZOOR BIR UTTAM after liberation in
1981 at CHITTAGONG cantonment in the hand of repatriated PAKISTANI
offspring GENERAL EARSHAD; he is now the special envoy of Prime
Minister. Can you really bring back liberation war spirit in to the
national life by keeping these RAJAKER elements in government alliances?
Other then two senior veteran general he also killed & sacked many
freedom fighter officers of BANGLADESH ARMY during his martial law rule.
EARSHAD is the father of radical movement in Bangladesh.
By
doing political polygamy with power monger political party / leaders
ERSHAD so far escaped all legal justice system. GENERAL EARSHAD could be
hanged dozens of times for the ruthless murders he committed during his
rule. GENERAL MANZOOR’S murder trial was over after long delay of
nearly two decades. On the verdict day suddenly the tribunal judge was
changed to save a killer who mercilessly killed dozens of freedom
fighters. He believed to have strong Middle East backup to kill more
freedom fighters in future on opportunity moment? GENERAL MANZOOR murder
trail looks a mockery now. SECTOR COMMANDERS FORUM and other pro
government organization won’t demand trail of GENERAL EARSHAD for
obvious reasons. To many ordinary freedom fighters EARSHAD is more
dangerous criminal killer than KADIR MULLAH who has recently been
executed for war crimes. Will this RAJAKAR GENERAL be punished by our
court system or manage every government through polygamy? |

A 15 member delegate team met Mr Pranab Mukherjee, President of India at Rashtrapti Bhavan, New Delhi at 12-30 noon,
on 21 April, 2014. The team constituted of Sitangshu Guha and Nabendu
Dutta of Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council (BHBCUC), New
York; Swadesh Barua and Udayan Barua, BHBCUC, France; Tarun Chowdhury
and Ms Chitra Paul, BHBCUC, Sweden; Mr Dilip Karmakar, BHBCUC, Canada;
Arun Barua, Bangladesh Minority Council, Switzerland; Rabindra Ghosh,
Bangladesh Minority Watch, Dhaka; B B Chowdhury, Bangladesh Minority
Forum, Dhaka and Mohit Ray, CAAMB, Kolkata. The team was also
accompanied by Ms Snigdha Ghosh, Ms Alpana Guha, Mrs Dutta and Ms Shilpi
Chowdhury.
In the 40 minute meeting, Hon’ble President heard the
experiences in brief from all the delegates. A number of delegates
described in tears about the existence of the minorities, especially
Hindus, in Bangladesh. The delegates requested President to take special
concern to save the minority Hindu-Buddhist-Christians in Bangladesh.
They remembered the great role played by India during the liberation war
in 1971. They highlighted the facts that Hindus in Bangladesh have
reduced from nearly 30 percent to 8 percent of the population. All
appealed to the President of India to do something about it. The
delegates presented memorandums, documents and some gifts to the
President.
CAAMB representative Mohit Ray highlighted the issues
of the persecuted Bangladeshi Hindus after they have been forced to
leave the country. They are refugees by the criteria prepared by United
Nations. However they are treated as illegal migrants in India and are
deprived of citizenship. He appealed to President to look into this
matter and amend 2003 Citizenship Act to facilitate granting citizenship
to the persecuted minority refugees from Bangladesh.
CAAMB
invited Ms Taslima Nasrin, Bangladeshi writer in exile now living in
Delhi, in the evening. She met the delegates and had detailed discussion
with them over a cup of tea. CAAMB thanks Prof Saradindu Mukherjee,
President – Centre for Studies in Indo Bangla Relations, who organised a
very useful interactive sessions with the foreign delegates in a
meeting that took place on 20 April, 2014 at Chittaranjan Park. CAAMB

Modi
needs to clean up this foreign influence on India. China will never
allow, not only they are defensive, they are actually aggressively
offensive. Did you know China has best team of experts who engage in
cyber war bringing down foreign country systems. They will never allow
Christian missionaries or these NGOs in their country. That is how a
country should defend itself, be offensive.
What worries me if
BJP is smart enough to handle this or we will have same behavior as
their 2004 administration. It is none other than Jaitley, per
instructions from Vajpayee literally let go the Quattrochi when he was
caught in Malaysia. They asked Quattorchi lawyer to chose the lawyer!!!
People who had first hand knowledge said how stupidly these people
acted. The country could have been saved the last 10 years by just one
act taken properly. Brajesh Mishra literally allowed Rahul to get away
from FBI in 2001 Boston airport, saying that we have to help Indian
Bahu. The problem is how did these people like Brajesh get there. I
believe the forces are so powerful they will do whatever they can to
implant people. I was told Vajpayee and Sonia families are very close
and Rahul and Vajpayee son-in-law are good friends!!!
Do you know
what is worse than Modi loss in 2014, one activist questioned me. Modi
win for one term followed by corrupt congress. Right now they looted
enough and they need Modi to slog it out to improve the country economy,
so that country is ripe for more loot. After honey is all taken out,
bees should be allowed to gather to make more honey and at right time
drive them away and grab it.
But will our BJP leaders learn from
all this? I find many BJP leaders are very arrogant and stupid and they
fight among themselves than fight for the enemies of the country. Most
of their arrogance is against those who wish well for them. Until
recently, many of them were trying to be how to better congress.
Will
Modi get the mandate to really clean the country? Time will tell.
Country needs to be constantly vigilant on possible repeated
assassination attempts on Modi (best example is Sastri) or the slow
poisoning as was done to Chavez. Hindus and India are simply novice in
this game. We have a long way to go.
But for now, we need to make
sure Modi gets 250+ so that he can make his mark and not depend on
murky allies. The efforts we make now that will add 20 to 30 seats can
make all the difference for the country. That is the last mile that will
determine the victory. |
