Who made Singapore corruption Free?

A life well-lived is respected the world over. Not only they make humanity proud but they become jewels of humanity.

“Man of Vision and courage SM LEE yesterday received the Inaugural Global Integrity Medal from the Kaulalampur Society for Transparency and Integrity, the Malaysian Chapter of the Berlin based anti-corruption coalition group, ‘Transparency International. It said: The Global Integrity Medal awarded to Lee Kuan Yew, senior minister, the Government of the Republic of Singapore, in recognition of his incredible success, as Prime Minister, in stamping out corruption in Singapore.”

In the process, he transformed Singapore, within a remarkably short time, into an island of integrity. It is therefore, entirely appropriate that he should be the first recipient of this newly-instituted award intended specifically to honor statesmen and women, and other high public officials whose integrity and personal commitment to confront corruption have made a positive and decisive difference to the lives of the people for whose well-being they are responsible.

The story of Singapore as we know it today is the story of vision, courage and determination of an exceptional man who set out deliberately to create and sustain a society that puts a premium on high standards of public behaviour.

The fact that Singapore occupies so consistently a place of honor at the top table of countries perceived to be least corrupt in the world according to Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index, year in and year out, owes much to solid ethical foundation that he laid those many years ago here in Singapore.

In endorsing this award, the chairman of Transparency International, Dr.Peter Eigen said,: “The role of Lee Kuan Yew in fighting corruption in Singapore is well known and is considered an important model for fighting against corruption.”

We gathered here today to pay homage tribute to a gifted and distinguished son of Asia of whom we are all enormously proud because, in both his private and public, he symbolizes, in the fullest measure, the Excellency of man.

In honoring him, we also honour integrity, transparency and accountability, the essentials of good governance for which Singapore is so much admired throughout the world. He has made it all so perfectly clear to us that “Integrity is no longer the luxury of the virtuous; it is a business necessity.”

It is my privilege, Sir, to present to you the Transparency International Malaysian Global Integrity Medal which has been specially designed by Royal Selongor for just this occasion, as a token of our highest esteem and regard for your outstanding contribution to global integrity.”

TRANSFORMING INDIA’S YOUTH INTO DYNAMIC RESOURCE

After independence Indian government has played a dominant role in various policy making to eradicate social problems, however till date root of social evils can’t diminished in large scale. The question is how India will be converted into developed and self sustainable nation?

The conversion can start by educating, training, motivating the energetic youths to be innovators and pioneers of modern era, this need a national vision and people must take efforts to design our nation.

“India has a weak governance but strong civil society” said by political thinkers because of the government is engaged with other priorities (we know what they are) so, we people has a choice to lead the efforts to transform its young population into successful selfless dedicated leaders (doesn’t mean only politicians).

Youth can play in addressing national issues by transforming in strategic thinking, redefined Knowledge, reforms in service for nation’s development, pillar of the nation can be independent voluntary, organized group or institution, media, social and religious groups, professional association, entrepreneurs so on.

Our current strategic thinking needs change from traditional thinking (except culture and discipline but we acting vice versa) in technology, economics, food security, infrastructure in hospitals, schools transportation, libraries , food grain storages etc (we thought that real estate and constructing huge malls, buildings are infrastructure development). Educating and motivating them to develop nation with state of art, knowledge and skill.

We need to encourage our academics and knowledge entity by offering curriculum with
critical thinking in cross disciplinary, it will help to transform the population as human resource, this resource will be the pillar for Indian nation, they carry our nation by their efficient, selfless, dedicated leadership, this is what Swami Vivekananda, Gandhiji , Nethaji and many political and social leaders left as a message by their sacrifice.

STOP NOT TILL GOAL IS REACHED!!

START NOW TOWARDS GOAL!!!

BLESSINGS FROM ALMIGHTY!!!

Neither ‘Maiti’ nor Mayang’ - WE ALL ARE INDIANS

MANIPUR

Many healthy trends have been witnessed in north-east region through the Arogya Mitra scheme.

They are proving to be a key player in changing the mentality of the people. There is an incident of Manipur. The local people there call themselves ‘Maiti’. Those who have settled there from other parts of the country are called ‘Mayang’.

Sometime back a campaign was launched in the state to force the Mayangs to leave the state. Since this word was used as an abuse, it created a gulf between the Manipuri and non-Manipuri people.

This mentality was dangerous for the national feeling. Therefore, it disturbed all the nationalists. The Sangh also has very good work in Manipur. There are thousands of trained workers all over the state. The swayamsevaks educated the people about the disastrous consequences of Mayang word.

Ultimately the people stopped using this word and now the opposition of non-Manipuri people has reduced to a great extent. It is a big achievement on the part of the swayamsevaks. This also shows how positive change can be brought about in the society.

Fwd: मीडिया की साख का सवाल (The question of the credibility of the media)

Sceintist, Philospher & Statesman

Don't miss even a single word... Every second is worth reading this mail...
An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, The Almighty. He asks one of his new students to stand and.....

Prof:
So you believe in God?
Student:
Absolutely, sir.
Prof:
Is God good?
Student:
Sure.
Prof:
Is God all-powerful?
Student:
Yes.
Prof:
My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn't. How is this God good then? Hmm?

(Student is silent.)

Prof:
You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?
Student:
Yes.
Prof: Is Satan good?
Student:
No.
Prof: Where does Satan come from?

Student:
From...God.. .
Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?

Student:
Yes.
Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything. Correct?

Student:
Yes.
Prof:
So who created evil?
(Student does not answer.)

Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?

Student:
Yes, sir.
Prof:
So, who created them?
(Student has no answer.)

Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever seen God?

Student:
No, sir.
Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?

Student:
No, sir.
Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?

Student:
No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?

Student:
Yes.
Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student:
Nothing. I only have my faith.
Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has...
Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof:
Yes.
Student:
And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof:
Yes...
Student:
No sir. There isn't. (The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student:
: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold . Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy . Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it .
(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student:
What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof:
Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student :
You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light.....But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?
Prof:
So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student:
Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof:
Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student:
Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Prof:
If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student:
Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)

Student:
Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavour, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class is in uproar.)

Student:
Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain? (The class breaks out into laughter.)
Student:
Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable. )

Prof:
I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student:
That is it sir... The link between man & God is FAITH. That is all that keeps things moving & alive...

NB: I believe you have enjoyed the conversation. ..and if so...you'll probably want your friends/colleagues to enjoy the same...won't you?.... this is a true story, and the
student was none other than........ ...

Scientists being killed, media silent, why?

SHOCKING !!

The nation’s scientists/engineers are being systematically killed but the govt. and media seem to be unconcerned!!

Homi K Bhaba was killed in 1966 by the CIA to put a damper on India’s nuclear programme.  The same thing is happening now.

Dear All,
Though we can do nothing about it, please note the media silence on this most shocking question. It awakens us to the invisible strings that pull media coverage and treatment.
Affly and with love,
Rahul

OUR FINEST BRAINS BEING MURDERED? WHY MEDIA SILENCE ?

Let each of us worry about what is happening "undercover" in our nation. Bharat Mata is bleeding from a thousand wounds.

In the past 3 years, two major nuclear institutions; Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) and Kaiga Nuclear Facility, have reported at least 9 unnatural deaths of nuclear scientists and engineers who had been working with them.

The latest casualty was discovered on 7th October, 2013, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Vishakapatnam; two engineers – K.K Josh and Abhish Shivam (chief engineers connected with the building of India’s indigenous nuclear-powered submarine, Arihant.) were found dead in a very strange condition.

They were poisoned first and then left on railway tracks to make it look like an accident. The story of other scientists is strikingly similar. One thing in common : all deaths were in mysterious circumstances. There is obviously a well planned conspiracy behind this and our nation is under attack.

The matter of shame however is, the government has opted to remain silent and media has decided to take it unfocused. The report was published by international media (Read an excellent coverage here : http://www.sunday-guardian.com/news/pmo-unconcerned-about-scientist-deaths)
In any other country, a single such death would have been sufficient to create a storm, we in India have chosen to ignore it.
