Bharat Mera Ghar By Arunachal Teachers


BHARAT MERA GHAR TRIP CONDUCTED BY TEACHERS FROM ARUNACHAL PRADESH
Bharat Mera Ghar , a tour programme for teachers from Arunachal
Pradesh was  successfully concluded at Itanagar  on 9th November,
2013. Since many previous years,  as part of national integration
program under the guidance of RSS, some selected persons from
Arunachal used to visit to other states of Bharat to experience the
all-round development of the states through this tour programme named
Bharat Mera Ghar (B.M.G.). This year B.M.G. had been organized
especially for teachers  to study various educational experiments done
in Maharashtra.

 A group of 23 teachers from 9 districts of Arunachal Pradesh visited
Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur from 28th October to 8th November, 2013. The
group first reached Mumbai where they got warm welcome from
Mumbaikars. These teachers from Arunachal  visited Elephanta caves,
Pagoda, Gateway of India and Juhu beach. They also visited Keshav
Srushti to learn about different medicinal plants.
 At Pune, a training programme was organized at Jnana Prabodhini, a
renowned Institute working on scholarly children. Sessions on
Geography and History helped the group to clear the basic concepts as
well as various tools and methodologies which should be used by taking
benefits of local surroundings. Heritage walk, and also, a morning
walk in Central Pune conducted by Shri Mohan Shete brought back the
lively memory of freedom fighters like Veer Savarkar, Lokmanya Tilak,
Chaphekar Bandhu, Rajguru by visiting their residences. In’ Itihas
Samshodhan Mandal’, the teachers recognized the importance of keeping
History in written form. The group was also trained in play-way method
and  child psychology in Jnana Prabodhini. The group could gain an
advantage of sharing and discussing ‘Educational Scenario’ in
Arunachal Pradesh for 3 days with Shri Vishwas Lapalkar and Shri
Vivek Ponkshe who have  a wide educational experience in Arunachal.
 Lastly, the group visited the RSS headquarter, Nagpur,  where they
visited the birthplace of RSS founder  Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar.
TheBharat Mera Ghar group also visited social projects run by RSS and
its sister organizations like Hedgewar Blood Bank, Goshala Prakalp,
Vivekananda Hospital run in the tribal belt of  Maharashtra. After
visiting the Goshala Prakalp, the group came to know the number of
medicinal uses of Gomutra as well as why our culture believe cow as
‘Gomata’. The group also visited ‘Dikshabhumi ‘where they saw the
photo gallery of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.  Each teacher went to
different houses for lunch to celebrate Diwali Festival at Pune and
Nagpur. In all, the group felt the tour to be educative, entertaining,
experiencing and patriotic. The participants from Arunachal got a
touch of the love and warmth of  Bharat Mera Ghar in true sence which
will help in long way towards national integration
