FW: SURA SOI Siachen

SURA SOI Siachen....
The World's Hiighest Battlefield. !!
Please pause for a few moments for the pictures to download.
The Siachen glacier is usually regarded as the world's highest battlefield.
With both India and Pakistan claiming the glacier, thousands of soldiers from both countries are stationed in the area.
It borders the Pakistani- and Indian-administered portions of disputed Kashmir. (All photos by Prashant Panjiar)

Indian soldiers are seen at the Forward Logistics Base.
The glacier has been in the news recently with the deaths in April of about 140 people, most of them soldiers,
on the Pakistani side in an avalanche. Soon after, Pakistan's army chief said Pakistan favoured talks with
India to demilitarise Siachen. The two countries have already held 12 rounds of talks over the disputed glacier

Photographer Prashant Panjiar was given rare access to the Indian side in 2005, when he took these photos

India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire over the Siachen glacier in 2003 but thousands of troops are still deployed
in the region. Supplies must be flown in to the Forward Logistics Base by helicopter. India believes that
the glacier is of great strategic and diplomatic value.

The Siachen War Memorial on the bank of the Nubra river at the Siachen Base camp.
More soldiers have died from the harsh conditions in Siachen than in combat. A war memorial on the bank
of the Nubra river is inscribed with the names of all the Indian soldiers who have died on the glacier.

Dear Everyone,

I SALUTE, each and every Indian Soldier,

Alive, or who Died, Fighting and WINNING

against Pakistan, for...'Siachen'....

The World's Highest Battlefield.!!!!!!

The recent proposal by Pakistan, to make 'Siachen',

a 'NO MAN ZONE' should NEVER be considered.!!

It would be an Insult, and a Mockery to the Indian

Men In Arms, (Dead And Living !) who fought...

'SO HARD, FOR INDIA'... to even consider

this proposal!!!!!

'JAI HIND'

Fwd: Modi Government has taken some credible decisions in last 2 days

These steps are certainly a Game changer for India in coming years.
1. Defence Ministry approved fast-track road building along the disputed border with China.
2. New 50 posts will be established in strategic position of Indo-China Border.
3. $2 billion extension to the Karwar Naval base in the southern state of Karnataka. The base is intended to take the load off Mumbai port, used by the navy and civilian ships.
4. Approved a Radar station in the Andaman and Nicobar islands in the Bay of Bengal to keep an eye on China's evil designs.
5. Radars and telecommunications projects within 100 km (62 miles) of the 4,000-km (2,500-mile) border with China, large parts of which are disputed, will be put on an automatic approval list.
6. Govt. Approved a long-stalled proposal to raise the height of the Narmada dam to 138.73 metres (455 feet), from 121.92 metres (400 feet), so more water will be available for drinking, irrigation and power generation.
7. In another significant move, the government has decided not to hike the prices of LPG cylinders. Also, the cap on the number of subsidised LPG cylinders will remain unchanged at 12 per year.
8. In a significant development, the Modi government has decided to make X-Ray, MRI and CT scans free of cost for the poor at government hospitals.
9. The Government plans to plant 200 crore trees along the entire 1 lakh km National Highways network across the country to employ jobless youth. A similar scheme could be implemented under MNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Gurantee Act) along the village and district roads and state highways. That has the potential to employ 30 lakh youth.
10. Moving ahead with its plans of creating a "broadband highway" across the country, the inter-ministerial telecom commission approved a revised strategy for kickstarting the ambitious National Optical Fibre Network (NOFN) that plans to provide broadband connectivity to 2.5 lakh gram panchayats through nearly 6 lakh km of optic fibre by March, 2017.
Gazetted Officers........ Bye - Bye....
Govt may drop Attestation f
documents by gazetted
officers ( Stamsp Walo Aapke Din Gaye)
You may no longer need a Gazetted officer or a
magistrate to attest
documents sought by
Govt. Departments.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked his bureaucrats to
repeal all laws and rules which come in the way of effective Governance. In a meeting with secretaries on Wednesday, the PM
suggested government
departments should adopt the system of self-attestation of
certificates, photographs and marksheets, instead of asking for Attested Documents or filing
of affidavits. He also told
officials all Government application forms should be made short and
simple by doing away with unnecessary fields.
“The prime minister said self attestation should be enough because
it is a hassle for the common man to get it attested from Gazetted officers. Anyway, the original documents are
required to be produced at the final selection... (Courtesy BS)..

Mr. Modi has passed an epic resolution:
Only Scientist and Technical associate will participate and attend the Scientist Conference in India and Abroad....No Minister or Bureaucrat is allowed as a part of this delegations
This is land mark decision as almost 50% participant were non technical Ministers and his cronies....who did not understand a thing on the subject.....they just uses to enjoy travel and hospitality at Govt expense
For last 67 years nobody had time n inclination to change this as there was no vision in their heads right from Nehru to Sonia ....they have systematically changed the rules to serve their own dynastic purpose and looted the country

Re: TO REPORT TRUTH WITHOUT BIAS, SPIN OR CENSOR AND EXPOSE SUCH ACTS

Where India and particularly Hindus are concerned the media have utterly failed to discharge their obligations rather, they take the meekness of the majority Hindus.

Re: INDIA'S INTERNAL & EXTERNAL POLICY

Via: Amardeep, London, UK

I am not sure this is the right forum. But I totally agree. However, we have to begin the discussion somewhere.

Visa fees for UK Indians are extremely high, that too when they are visiting their own homeland.

Another point I found very frustrating is that a visa application to India can be rejected if the photo is not a 2 inch by 2 inch (square) photograph.

If you look at the standard passport photograph size of any country, they are all the same. So why does the Indian high commission make it extra work for people applying for a visa? All of the self-service photo machines in UK produce only the standard size passport photos. This means anyone applying for an Indian visa has to go to a photographer studio just for a passport photo. It's ridiculous.

OFBJP-USA and we are want to working towards this.

Rather in indulging in eloquent talk, do something for the nation of
India and Indian Nationals anywhere.

The process of getting a Visa to India by many settled in US and
perhaps elsewhere is the most horrendous experience in one's life.

Make it an efficient process.  Do practical things that make India
stand out both in terms as a tourist spot, a reunion of family and a
welcome place.
