SAKSHAM EIGHTH NATIONAL CONFERENCE, VIVEKANADA KENDRA, KANYAKUMARI

“According to BharateeyaSanskriti, doing sewa is not charity. Because of the underlying concept is ‘AtmavatSarvabhutheshu’.(The same atman present in all), narsewa is done with the feeling of  Narayanseva”. This was the theme of Ma. Sahsarkaryavah Sri Krishnagopaljiudbodhan at SAKSHAM 8th National conference at Kanyakumari.

On 27th 10am, Dr. Milind Kasbekar, National President, Sri SuhasjiHiremat, AI SewaPramukh and Sri Gunwantsingh Kothari, AI Sah Sewa Pramukh inaugurated the conference by hoisting SAKSHAM flag.


403 delegates (District President & District secretary/ Convenor and above) from 37 prants, including from J&K, Assam and Manipur were participated.

In the inaugural session, Sri SuhasjiHiremath, RSS All India seva pramukh inspired the delegates to take sankalp in this sacred place, to expand Saksham Activities both geographically and qualitatively to reach all the types of disabilities. Being the PP Balasaheb centenary, this year being celebrated as SamajikSamarasataVarsha, we have to work for bringingsamarasathain society, above narrow differences of caste.

Four sessions were on Kshamata Vikas Prakost viz., Visually Challenged, hearing Challenged, Physically Challenged, Intellectually Challenged and Leprosy Afflicted Persons problems dealt by 16 resource persons.

Public function on 28th 4.00-5.30 was graced by Honourable Union Minister of SJ&E Sri ThavarchandGehlot.. He explained the schemes taken by Sri Modi Government like increasing the funds for ALIMCO to 150 crore and organising ADIP camps to distribute aids.
They launched new portal to provide 46000 scholarships to metric and post metric students with disabilities. They increased funds for National Trust and launched new schemes. In the same function Appliances distributed to 39 PwDs. Shri Lovverma, chief secretary and Shri AwnishAwasti, joint secretary were also present.


Sri Milind Kasbekar, presented a draft copy with 4 resolutions.
1) To convey thanks to Prime Minister in repealing the treacherous Leper Act-1898
2) To pass the RPD act-2014 in the coming winter session.
3) To implement Universal ID card as early as possible.
4) To Support ‘Cornea Blindness Free Bharat Abhiyan’.


NATIONAL EXECUTIVE ELECTION:

As the present body completed 3 years, President Dr.Milind Kasbekar dissolved the present committee.  The General body elected unanimously DR. DAYALSINGH PANWAR, Associate Professor in Sanskrit, Delhi University, who is also visually challenged as President and SRI KASINADH LAKKARAJU Software consultant from Hyderabad as General Secretary.
